It can also be used as dye intermediate to prepare acid and reactive dyes.

6.The production method
It is prepared by  sulfonation, reduction and acid extraction: the process is as follows: (1) 1600L of sulfonated 20% fuming sulfuric acid is added to the acid evaporator at the speed of 500L/h, and the temperature is maintained at about 250ºC. The steam of sulfur trioxide is condensed into liquid sulfur trioxide 285L. The sulfur trioxide was added to the sulfonation pot containing 667kg  within 3h, from room temperature to 90ºC, after addition, the temperature was heated to 115ºC, and the heat preservation was completed after 3h. Dilute in 3000L water or iron mud lotion and neutralize to neutral with liquid alkali. A solution of sodium  sulfonate was obtained by filtration. The yield is 95%. (2) Reduction will be one-fifth of the sulfonated diluent (not neutralized with liquid alkali) and 700kg of iron filings in the reduction pot to make electrolytes (activation). Under direct steam boiling, in about 2-3h, add the remaining four-fifths of the medium to the reduction pot. After adding, continue boiling for 0.5h. After the sampling conversion rate is less than 98%, add liquid alkali to adjust the pH value to 9, filter while it is hot, filter the iron mud, and the filtrate is sodium sodium amino benzene sulfonate solution (sodium salt solution can be used as dye intermediate after distillation). The yield is 88%. (3) Acid extraction Add sulfuric acid to sodium salt solution in acid extraction pot until Congo red test paper turns blue, and keep the temperature at 70ºC. Then centrifugal filtration, to obtain M - sulfonate slurry. The yield is 85%. The total yield was 71%. Industrial specifications as dye intermediates: the appearance is grayish white to light red crystal or slurry, the total content of amino value is not less than 60%, equivalent to dry content is not less than 90.9%, the insoluble substance in soda ash is less than 1.5%. Raw material consumption quota: 1035kg/t, liquid alkali (30%)2106kg/t, fuming sulfuric acid 4264kg/t, iron filings 934kg/t.
